SR&ED Claim Processing - timeframes - 17 October, 2008

SR&ED claims are processed within 3 months of the submission. It takes another month for the federal and up to 2 months for the provincial assessments. In some cases, when an amendment to the T2 form is done, the process may take longer periods of time. Should the claim be subjected to a financial or technical audit, timeframes could be significantly extended.
